An Internet Marketers Guide to Making Money With Your Blog

By Renee

You can not throw up a blog and think it will make you easy money. Blogging looks easy until you actually try it and realize that it requires certain techniques to make it work. The good news is that, as an internet marketer, adding a blog to your site can increase your profits and build your selling prospects. Blogging on a regular basis will take little of your time away and you will benefit from the hundreds of extra dollars that you will be making. Read on to find out you can learn to blog like a professional.

Make a schedule for blog posts and stick to it. Especially when you are first starting out, a regular posting schedule will help you stay on task. This is a crucial factor in getting more traffic to your blog. This gives your visitors something to look for, knowing when there will be new posts. You do not have to post everyday (though that may be tempting, especially in the beginning). The great thing about a blog is that you can set your own schedule; some people post once a week, others a few times every week, while some prefer to write one long article every month or so. The main thing is to be consistent, so readers can count on you to post at regular intervals. Just make a schedule and stick to it!

Send an email to visitors that left a comment on your blog. The easiest way to do this is to have a service or program that does it automatically after a comment is posted to your blog. Incorporating a small touch of personalization will work wonders. A [personalized email will consist of addressing the person by name and just briefly mentioning a point or two that they wrote in their comment on your blog. People will appreciate that you value them enough to take the time to respond to them individually. This will keep them coming back to your site and make them more open to buying your products!

Some people start their blog with a post giving a detailed explanation about themselves. You probably have some great ambitions for your blog and you want to tell everyone what these are. The only problem with doing this is that after a few weeks, this long explanation about your blog will be hard to find because of all the other posts you’ve (hopefully!) written. Another option is to create an introductory page, which are often titled “About Me,” that accomplishes the same thing. Having a page like this is good because it’s easier to find than a single post, and people can easily find out the basic facts about your blog.

Being a successful blogger is only a matter of applying simple techniques. We already mentioned a few of these simple methods: responding to comments, freedom-of-speech in comments, and the ability to contact you and expect a response are all factors that will determine your success or failure.

The best thing about blogging is that you have many options to include different forms of advertising on your blogs and keep the ones that are most profitable. Thankfully, blogging is not difficult. If you like your niche, it can even be quite enjoyable and feel more like a hobby than a job!Additional Resources:
