Get these right and you will have a much easier time not only getting the search engines to understand what it is you want to be ranked for but also how well you should be ranked. After all, if you can’t get this part right, then you are certainly of no importance to the search engines after all.

How To Rise In The SERPs

and add zero’s to your bank account

Before we proceed I think I may need to define the acronym SERPs. What SERPs stands for is Search Engine Result Page or, similarly, Search Engine Results Placement. Essentially, what the data is that is returned from a Google (or other) query.

Google is a tool that runs on an engine. That engine, like the one that runs your car, requires very specific things Read More→

How To Rise In The SERPs

and add zero’s to your bank account

In this series of articles, we will examine individually, each of the major components of web page optimization. Mastering and blending each of these components can be tricky to say the least and , it is likely impossible to incorporate all the factors into every page. As the series unfolds, please keep in mind that combining some of the most powerful components of these search engine optimization factors can get your site quite a large over optimization penalty ding from Google. Just remember to pay close attention as I go over each ranking factor and I will point out the ‘fatal combinations’ as I write about each of them.

Lets start by going over the two forms of optimization Read More→

twitter Search Engine Roundup

A Real Time Vertical Corral

of archeological nomenclature

twittersearchRecently many have been referring to twitter as a search engine. While twitter can indeed be searched, I’m really not so sure that it’s a search engine. In any case, it certainly is not a search engine of the traditional sort ;o). Today’s subject is twitter search engines, yes, engines that search twitter, of which, twitter is one, ever since it acquired Summize (Anyone else feel that thump in your head? With talk like that it’s no wonder old folks can get so cranky and wave us off when we whippersnappers start talking about computers). Well it seems as though that was a perfect fit. The fact of the matter is, not too far from the dubbed founding premise of twitter as a micro blogging platform, if you are looking for micro rants or reviews about absolutely anything and everything, yes even in real time, twitter is the place to search. No doubt twitter is why Google has switched from a aged result form of its algorithm to a recent form. I’m sure it’s no surprise then that the 1st on the list of twitter search engines is…

Niche Market Research

How Can I Tell if A Market is Worth Getting Into?

All too often I hear horror stories about how after many months of costly product research and creation, an eager entrepreneur sets up shop, spends another yacht load of cash SEOing the web site then, a dingy load of cash for an expert copywriter, only to find when launch day arrives, no one will buy the product. At which point our unwitting entrepreneur is pretty much sunk, pure and simple. The worst part of all, in that situation, the person frequently has no idea why they have failed. The facts of the matter are, our captain of modern industry wound up pitching a tent in Antarctica and ended up adrift on an iceberg headed for the equator!
