top100Elance.com released its April 2009 Online Work Index Stats which ranks the 100 hottest in-demand online job skills.  The data is derived from more than 100,000 online job postings created over the last several months. It’s no surprise that I.T and Marketing positions continue to dominate the top spots. Also with no surprise, social media continues its drive upward.  Open source applications have made a very strong push into the list this month.

Twitter has apparently now arrived as it has finally showed up on the list on slot number 93. Social Networking has reached number 38, up 6 slots, while facebook reaches number 61, up ten slots. Below is an excerpt of the list showing the top 20.

Interesting info Jim, It really is amazing how powerful social media has become lately. Seeing the demand for outsourced projects and virtual assistants in this arena only confirms that SMM is here to stay.
