Feedburner RSS on Facebook

By Jim Corbett

Publish your Feedburner RSS Feed on Facebook

or aggregate many

No doubt many of you are familiar with Feedburners RSS service and, no doubt many of you are also familiar with Facebook. Now, if you have a membership with both, you are in luck.

For those of you not ‘in the know’, the Feed burner service is free from Google and essentially plugs into your site and enhances your RSS feed with lots of nifty features like subscriber tracking and adsense revenue. Facebook, is a social networking site that by use of it’s home page and profile page, allows you to keep in touch with all your ‘friends’ easily and in a fun manner.

So, now lets say you are a blogger who uses Feedburner for RSS and, also has one or two thousand close friends over at Facebook. Now you can get a Facebook application like Blog RSS Feed Reader and invite all your friends to join your Feedburner RSS feed directly from Facebook. Now you will be linked to feeds.feedburner URL instead of a normal site feed. I can’t tell you how thrilled I was when I found this little app! So there you have it!

That FB application doesn’t seem to be working for me. Too bad we can’t connect Feedburner to Facebook directly from the Feedburner’s Publicize page, like we can with Twitter. Does anyone know if that’s in the works?
