OK, now that you have used Google Site Map Generator or G Site Crawler to create your xml site map and, have double checked that those xml sitemaps are where they should be and, have pinged Google to let them know that the maps are in place, you can and, probably should, do one more little thing to get the G Bot racing to your root.
For those of you in the know the next point is glaringly obvious however for those you new to Search Engine Marketing. Search Engine Optimization and alike, you may not be aware that Google has created a tool for just such an exercise. Over at Google Webmaster Central is what’s called Google Web Master Tools. There is where you will find the Add Sitemap Tool under the Dashboard and Sitemaps. Now once you have made the tools aware of the location of your sitemap, you can return in the next day or two to check it for errors.
