Private Label Rights products are a way to distribute “your own” product without having to actually create that product. PLR’s give you the ability to start selling something quickly. PLR products range from simple articles to books and videos to physical items such as skin care products as well as certain types of software. Sometimes PLR products are called, “White Label” or “Re-branded” products. The most common PLR products available are downloadable items such as ebooks and videos. You can use any PLR and, if allowed, simply rebrand it as yours or manually go in and edit the product making it more of your own. PLR products can also serve as great giveaway items for list building and can serve to help linkbuilding as well. One good way to source you PLR products is with public domain.

Public Domain describes works that have expired copy write protection or are created by the US government and so 
are free for consumption by you or anyone. You can repackage and resell these items at will. Items include music, books, maps, images, research and just about anything you can think of. There are many sites on the internet that feature public domain items. For instance say you are in the real estate or mortgage industry, you could use a fair housing publication on your website. Potential clients would be able to read or download this material. The download may or may not make you any money, but it is great customer service. Use sites like Google Government Search or Gutenberg to find things that might be useful on your site. Maybe there is an image that you could blog about. Data from a report that could help you sell your product. Anything found that is out of copy write is yours to sell and profit from as though it were your own. The possibilities are endless you only need to apply yourself and be creative.
